Transparent, conditional and in writing.
In urban pest control there is no such thing as an absolute guarantee that a pest is "gone for good". Anyone who promises that is selling an expectation that pest biology does not allow them to meet. What we offer is honest, clear and technical: a guarantee that the service is carried out correctly, with a follow-up treatment at no cost within the period stated in the proposal.
How our technical guarantee works
Desin Controlo de Pragas guarantees the correct technical execution of the contracted service, using authorised products, a method suited to the pest identified and issuing a technical report whenever applicable.
If activity of the same pest is found within the guarantee period stated in the proposal, and provided the technical recommendations given to the client have been followed, we carry out a technical reassessment and, where justified, a new treatment at no additional cost.
The guarantee does not apply to reinfestations caused by new pest entries, structural faults, lack of cleaning, exposed food, waste, water leaks, sewers, contaminated goods, animals, neighbouring properties, outdoor areas or failure to follow the technical guidance given.
Periods and conditions by pest
Each pest has different biology, needs a different protocol and has a guarantee suited to the technical reality. These are the maximum reference periods: the actual period depends on the pest and on what is agreed in the proposal, and some services carry no guarantee.
All periods are confirmed in writing in the proposal before the service begins.
What we state in proposals and contracts
Technical guarantee of execution
Our service includes a technical guarantee of execution. If pest activity persists within the period stated in the proposal, we carry out a technical reassessment and, if it is confirmed to be the same infestation that was treated, we carry out a follow-up treatment at no additional cost, provided the recommendations given by Desin have been followed.
Follow-up commitment
We do not just promise to apply a product. We work with diagnosis, strategy and technical follow-up. That is why, whenever the service is contracted within the recommended protocol, we offer a technical guarantee that is conditional on the site being correctly prepared and on the prevention guidance being followed.
Why we do NOT use the phrase "total guarantee"
We do not promise "permanent elimination"
Pests come back in through luggage, goods, sewers, neighbouring properties, animals, gardens and building works. Promising total elimination would be dishonest.
We do not say "100% pest-free"
In an urban setting, with neighbours, shared sewers and people coming and going, "100% free" is technically impossible for any company in the sector.
We say "conditional technical guarantee"
We guarantee correct execution, the right method, and a follow-up treatment at no cost if the same infestation persists within the period, with the recommendations followed.
We say "technical follow-up"
For pests with a risk of coming back (rodents, outdoor ticks), we work through ongoing monitoring and exclusion. It is the approach that works, rather than empty promises.
